Very tasty chicken; they use kiawe charcoal, which is of South American origin, which is part of the mesquite family but has a sweeter flavor. Really nice and good food
Passing by and spotting billows of smoke in the air, we stopped and tried Ray's Kiser Broiled Chicken. A great treat - aromatic, tender, juicy and delicious! While lining up, I enjoyed watching the scene, the broiling process: add kiawe charcoal, take out ready strings of broiled chickens and put in new strings into the trailer stove.
We got a full chicken with our friends from out of town. The mesquite action made me want to leave my girlfriend for chicken. Honestly it read juicy and succulent through and through. Don't forget grandma's sauce. The part that cracked me up is that there were chickens walking underneath the grill. This spot should be visited if you're on the North shore!
We waited about 35 minutes for this chicken and it was amazing. The sauce was fantastic, the chicken was so juicy, and the slaw was killer. It was so cool to watch them cook, too. Out of all of the food trucks and food to eat in north shore, this is one of our favorites!!
We drove by on our way to North Shore. We smelled it and said, OMG we have to go there on the way back. So we sniffed it out and found it again. Best chicken I've ever had. Super moist and flavorful. The pineapple slaw was also amazing.
